Originally from Kosovo, Merita Kadiri has called Canada home since 1994 and is a proud mother of three children. A professional hairstylist by trade, she is also deeply passionate about the arts, music, community service, and cultural engagement. Merita is a published poet whose creative work reflects her commitment to preserving heritage, fostering connection, and celebrating diverse voices.

Throughout the years, she has been an active volunteer within the Albanian community in Ontario, dedicating her time and energy to initiatives that strengthen community bonds and support meaningful causes. Her dedication to service has included supporting numerous community events and organizational initiatives, including the Ottawa “25@25” ceremony.
