“Home is Canada,” she says. Although Jamaica will always be part of her identity, Canada is where her family is safe and where she has built her life. In Newfoundland, she found a community that supported her, influenced her, and became part of her story. “That’s home now,” she says quietly.

#Sahati is an emerging and rising Albanian-Canadian artist in Toronto. She lets us in on her music, her life and how she merges both identities when creating music.

Sahati. A producer, DJ, singer, and multi instrumentalist from Kosova, now based in Toronto. Her music blends electronic and left-field pop with the rhythms, emotion, and storytelling of her Albanian roots, creating a sound that is both experimental and deeply unique.
