Counsel & Advisor and Chair Woman
Arnisa Morina

Arnisa Morina is an accomplished lawyer, advocate, and community leader serving as Legal Counsel. As one of the first known refugees from Kosovo to become a lawyer in Canada, Arnisa's journey is a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and service.
Arnisa is the Founder and Principal Lawyer of Morina Law P.C., a Toronto-based law firm specializing in Immigration and Refugee Law. She earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020. Through her practice, she represents individuals and families seeking protection in Canada, providing compassionate and skilled legal advocacy to refugees and newcomers navigating complex immigration processes.
Arnisa immigrated to Canada in 1999 as a three-year-old refugee fleeing the Kosovo War, during which her father was killed. Rather than allowing tragedy to define her future, she transformed her experiences into a source of strength, purpose, and empathy. Her personal understanding of displacement and loss has shaped her commitment to ensuring that vulnerable individuals have access to justice and meaningful legal representation.
In recognition of her professional achievements, leadership, and contributions to the refugee and newcomer community, Arnisa was honoured as a recipient of the 25@25: Refugees Making a Difference award at the Parliament of Canada. Her work continues to inspire countless young professionals and newcomers across the country.
As Legal Counsel, Arnisa brings extensive legal expertise, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to human rights, helping advance the organization's mission while ensuring strong advocacy for the communities it serves.
