Home for the Holidays: Women, Art & Stories from Around the World

Artistè Foundation invites immigrant and newcomer women artists to participate in our inaugural exhibition!

📍 Venue: Women’s Art Association of Canada, Toronto, Ontario

📅 Exhibition Date: December 12, 2026

This holiday season, we are bringing together women from diverse cultural backgrounds to celebrate the creativity, resilience, and stories that connect us across borders.

Home for the Holidays: Women, Art & Stories from Around the World is an exhibition exploring the meaning of home through visual art and personal storytelling.

What does home mean to you?

What do we carry with us when we leave? Which traditions, memories, and cultural identities stay with us? What do we leave behind, and how do we create new homes, connections, and communities in Canada?

We invite immigrant and newcomer women artists to share a piece of their art alongside the personal story or inspiration behind it. Whether your work reflects your cultural heritage, migration journey, family traditions, identity, resilience, belonging, or the meaning of home, we would love to hear your story.

Be part of a collective celebration of women’s voices, cultures, and creativity.

The exhibition will feature artists from diverse backgrounds, creating a space where different perspectives and lived experiences can come together. Participating artists will also be featured through artist profiles on display, giving visitors an opportunity to learn about the women behind the artwork and the stories that inspire them.

Participation is FREE!

💌 Interested in participating? We would love to hear from you! Please reach out to Artistè Foundation to express your interest and share a little about yourself and your artwork.

Let’s celebrate the women who carry their histories across borders while creating new chapters here in Canada.
