Meet Belinda Lahu, a Health Sciences graduate from the University of Ottawa, driven by a deep passion for advancing women’s sexual and reproductive health. Born and raised in Canada to parents from Kosova, Belinda’s academic and professional journey bridges her two worlds, combining evidence-based research with a heartfelt commitment to improving the wellbeing of communities in her homeland. She has contributed to research exploring women’s health, access to care, and social determinants of wellbeing, while also using her voice to advocate for meaningful change. As a Citizen Diplomacy Fellow with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosova, she works to strengthen ties between the diaspora and home institutions. Most recently, Belinda spoke at DLD Tirana, where she highlighted the future of Kosova and Albania, emphasizing the importance of youth engagement, innovation, and investment in the region.
