Venesa Sulimani

Venesa Sulimani is a visionary leader, advocate, and storyteller whose voice carries both power and purpose. As a second-generation survivor, she draws upon her family's experiences to champion resilience, healing, and community empowerment. Guided by a deep commitment to social impact, she has dedicated her work to amplifying underrepresented voices and creating meaningful opportunities for connection, understanding, and change.

As Executive Director, Venesa provides strategic leadership and direction, advancing the organization's mission through community engagement, advocacy, partnership-building, and program development. Her ability to inspire others through authentic storytelling and purposeful leadership has made her a respected voice within both local and international communities.

Venesa's impact was most recently highlighted at the Women, Peace & Security Forum in Prishtina, hosted by President Vjosa Osmani, where her testimony deeply moved attendees and demonstrated the transformative power of lived experience. In recognition of her contributions to community leadership and advocacy, she was also honoured as a recipient of the 25@25: Refugees Making a Difference award, presented by MP Kyle Seeback at the Parliament of Canada in 2026.

With a passion for service and a vision for inclusive community growth, Venesa leads with empathy, courage, and determination, helping drive initiatives that create lasting and meaningful impact for the communities the organization serves.
